Weather
A change in weather can turn a summer stroll into a winter survival situation. Always check the weather before you go out on the hills. Many bunkhouses and youth hostels get the daily weather forcasts from the Met Office and post them somewhere public. If they charge for this it is because they get the info from the Met Office fax-back service which is on an 0900 number.
